teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement
of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Life is filled with heartache.

Job 1:1
In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job.
This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and
shunned evil.

Job is a mature (blameless) man. He also prays alot. But, he was not really broken to God even though he was really mature.

Ezekiel 14:14
Even if these three men — Noah, Daniel [Or Danel; the
Hebrew spelling may suggest a person other than the prophet
Daniel; also in verse 20.] and Job — were in it, they could
save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the
Sovereign LORD.

Job 1:2-19
He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among
all the people of the East. His sons used to take turns holding feasts in their homes, and
they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with
them. When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would send
and have them purified. Early in the morning he would
sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps
my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This
was Job’s regular custom. One day the angels [Hebrew the sons of God] came to
present themselves before the LORD, and Satan [Satan
means accuser.] also came with them. The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming through the earth
and going to and fro in it.” Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my
servant Job? There is no-one on earth like him; he is
blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and
everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands,
so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and
he will surely curse you to your face.” The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has
is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and
drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were ploughing
and the donkeys were grazing nearby, and the Sabeans attacked and carried them off. They put the
servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has
escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another messenger came and
said, “The fire of God fell from the sky and burned up the
sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has
escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another messenger came and
said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept
down on your camels and carried them off. They put the
servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has
escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and
said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking
wine at the oldest brother’s house, when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and
struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and
they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell
you!”

Job 29:1-25
Job continued his discourse: “How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God
watched over me, when his lamp shone upon my head and by his light I walked
through darkness! Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God’s
intimate friendship blessed my house, when the Almighty was still with me and my children were
around me, when my path was drenched with cream and the rock poured
out for me streams of olive oil. “When I went to the gate of the city and took my seat in the
public square, the young men saw me and stepped aside and the old men
rose to their feet; the chief men refrained from speaking and covered their
mouths with their hands; the voices of the nobles were hushed, and their tongues stuck
to the roof of their mouths. Whoever heard me spoke well of me, and those who saw me
commended me, because I rescued the poor who cried for help, and the
fatherless who had none to assist him. The man who was dying blessed me; I made the widow’s
heart sing.I put on righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe
and my turban. I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. I was a father to the needy; I took up the case of the stranger. I broke the fangs of the wicked and snatched the victims from
their teeth. “I thought, `I shall die in my own house, my days as
numerous as the grains of sand. My roots will reach to the water, and the dew will lie all night
on my branches. My glory will remain fresh in me, the bow ever new in my
hand.’ “Men listened to me expectantly, waiting in silence for my
counsel. After I had spoken, they spoke no more; my words fell gently
on their ears. They waited for me as for showers and drank in my words as
the spring rain. When I smiled at them, they scarcely believed it; the light of
my face was precious to them. [The meaning of the Hebrew
for this clause is uncertain.] I chose the way for them and sat as their chief; I dwelt as a
king among his troops; I was like one who comforts
mourners.

Job 3:25-26
What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has
happened to me. I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only
turmoil.”

Although Job is matured, but he is not completely matured.
Job had not yet reached Total Abandonment towards God.

Galations 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but
Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in
the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

"Satan" (Heb.) means "Adversary" or "Accuser"
Satan is his name, accusing is his game.

Revelations 12:10
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come
the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and
the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers,
who accuses them before our God day and night, has been
hurled down.

Nothing is going to happen to you unless God gives His permission
Anything bad that happens is to help us, change for the better.
When we don't see the hands of God, we must trust God's heart!

Job 1:20-22
At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head.
Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked
I shall depart. [Or shall return there] The LORD gave and the
LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be
praised.” In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

A mature Christian praises God even in bad times.

Job 2:6
The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your
hands; but you must spare his life.”

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to
man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted
beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he
will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Job 23:10
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I
shall come forth as gold.

James 5:11
As you know, we consider blessed those who have
persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have
seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of
compassion and mercy.

we must also have the endurance like Job!

Romans 5:3
Not only so, but we [Or let us] also rejoice in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

Perseverance produce character
Character produce hope
Hope produce vision

Hebrews 5:7
During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers
and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could
save him from death, and he was heard because of his
reverent submission.

Obedient endurance is the crowning mark of maturity!

2 Timothy 2:12
if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him,
he will also disown us;

Job 42:10
After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him
prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had
before.

Job 42:13
And he also had seven sons and three daughters.

God always have something good at the end of your sufferings!

The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry". Jesus replied,"Not everyone can accept this word, but only those whom it has been given. Matthew 18:1
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

The society needs to be healed!
We live for the kingdom of God!
we don't live for practical means.
live your life for the kingdom of Heaven's sake.

healing is:

removal of selfish needs
removal of how people look at us ( don care about what people think of you!)
letting go of everything just to serve God.

Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs such as these". Matthew 19:16 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must i do to get eternal life?"

There are 3 test in life.

keeping God commandments
Living for others
taking up the cross daily ( Letting go of everything you have)

Matthew 19:21
Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me".

people who need healing

Being good is taking out what you have and sharing it with other people.
Why is God good all the time? because He sent His only son to take away all of our sins.

God's going to stretch your faith.
God knows everything.
God is smart.
What is God going to test you? Is faith!!!

Physical hunger is not as scary as spiritual hunger. -> We die of physical death. But, if we die of spiritual death, that is scary! Because our spirit remain forever.

If you trust God enough, you would obey. -> Trust His words fully!!

But you don't, you would hesitate! Obey God's word. :D
If you trust God enough, you will obey Him and you will believe His words!!

Matthew 6:33
Our walk with God is step by step! it is not steep! it is also like a roller coaster ride!
Some people are like roller coaster.
We should go step by step.

James 5:13

Suffering is a kind of grace that God allow us to go through! Every time we go through suffering, God is adding grace.

John 1:14

A true servant is the one who obey God's word!! Must be integrity!!

John 10:10

Jesus came to give life, Devils come to steal word. The word gives life. Grab hold the word. Read the word. The word of God cannot only be at your brain, it also must be in your heart. Life is experiencing the faith of God.

Matthew 26:36-46
The first thing Jesus encountered at the start of His ministry was temptation.
At the end, of His ministry, before He went to the cross, Jesus tempted again!

The whole temptation of Christ was a test of His determination to carry out the cross throughout, believing for a resurrection; without taking any short-cut.

Jesus experienced the full impact of the temptation (body, soul and spirit).

Matthew 26:31
"then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered."

THE PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Romans 8:25-26
"but if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Likewise the Spirit also helps on our weaknesses. for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

God has given us the Holy Spirit.
The role of the Holy Spirit is to be our comforter.

In our weakness and during though times, pray.

THE LIKENESS OF CHRIST

"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brenthren."

"To be conformed" = to be identified with the death of Christ, leading to the same resurrection.

How do we know that He is the Christ? By His resurrection from the dead!

What is the gospel?
It is the dead, branch and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our testimony are important because they testify that He is REAL, TRUE and LIVING God!

We believe in the faith that Jesus has and we live by faith of God.

"And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life on His name."

Jesus went through all these so that he could identify us.
